My son text me from N.Y. said he heard that K's changed owner's. Is it true. I hope not.?
Good breakfast Nd very nice to us
Love K's hamburgers! I also suggest the homemade soup or onion rings to go with it!
MoreThis place is an old fashioned dinner. Keep in mind they do not accept credit cards or debit cards. When you walk in you seat yourself and order at the counter. You then pickup your food and pay at that time. The prices are reasonable and the food is good. Milk shakes are large. Very nice staff!
MoreA step back in time in the best way possible. Plus, the burgers are excellent and they have peanut-butter shakes!
MoreThe food is delicious. Love the malts. Going back
Traditional burger, great flavor beef. Crinkle cut fries that are crispy and fresh
MoreWas exactly what I wanted. Great old-fashioned burger and fries and onion rings. The shakes were the bomb. Will be back for more.
MoreHow do you make a double cheeseburger better? You fry it on about a quarter inch of greese! Lol. Best burgers I've ever had hands down! I moved outta the area for a short time, but I'm back now and K's will definitely be a regular lunch spot!
MoreI have been going to K's since I was a young teenager I am 57 yrs old and my mom did as well she is 81 yrs old she started going there at 15 yrs old, its still a family run restaurant and a family restaurant as well but also for the young people hopefully still like when I was young, I think the food is still great a and still priced right!
MoreI am 66 years old. I have lived in this town all my life. I currently live but two blocks from Ks. My wife and I eat there at least once a week and still consider it a treat. You can’t go wrong here. If your palette prefers an American breakfast, such as eggs, sausage, pancakes, sausage gravy and biscuits, etc., and your lunch and dinner preferences are burgers, fries, milk shakes, pop, and much more, then you will enjoy this place. Friendly staff, quick service (your waiter/waitress also cooks your food), and reasonable prices add to the vintage atmosphere. To newcomers, beware, you first enter to give your order to the attendant, then claim your booth. When your order is ready, they will call you. They do not wait on tables. Grandkids love their grilled cheese sandwiches. To those that are passing through, you must stop for a bite to eat. Most importantly, in these times, their carry out is available and done very well.
MoreBest hamburger I've had in a long time. Fresh and juicy, without being greasy. Love the 50's look and the cleanliness. Will visit again for sure if I'm ever back in Troy.
MoreAn American treasure! however the city of troy is destroying a pioneer business that has been around for 85 years with the damn parking! the troy parking guy needs fired!!!
MoreSeriously can't go wrong here. Walk backnin time and get a real, old fashioned, wet grill burger. The milkshakes and malts are perfect and are big enough for 2 people. Do not miss this place!!!! If you're fancy, this is not your kind of establishment. And bring cash, no cards taken here.
MoreBest burger for the price. Way better than Steak and Shake!! They except cash or check. Or they have an ATM onsite....
MoreNeat little place. Old time diner. Really reasonable prices! I want to come back, but we are only here for work. Wish i could have found this place before our last day. It is a bit confusing with the ordering but figured it out easily. Cash only! There is an atm on site but it was a 3 dollar charge.
MoreNeat place. They didn't seem to want to go out of their way to make customers feel welcome. If you're not a regular, you've just gotta figure things out for yourself. I felt like an inconvenience. I know this sounds like a terrible review, but overall it was a good experience. A little attention to detail in customer service would get them to a 4 or even 5 star level.
MoreThe place offers an awesome range of fresh food. I love dining here. The employees are always friendly, rates are fair and the spot is always clean.
MoreBurgers and onion rings for such an affordable price! The ladies who helped us are so sweet. We sat at the counter and had lovely conversation with the nice gentleman seated next to us. A cramped (in a good way) nostalgic burger joint with a homely feel. Nothing like this in D.C. I would definitely be traveling to Troy in the future to enjoy a nice lunch on a less busy day.
MoreCarry out only right now, love their burgers!
Local charm at its best. Friendly people, good food at good prices. You can tell that it's good food when you have the older generation loitering over a cup of coffee and piece of pie! We opted for breakfast since it's served all day. I still got a very tasty slice of homemade banana cream pie! Don't miss this little gem!
MoreI love the atmosphere at K's. The food is good and extremely inexpensive. I especially like the milkshakes! It reminds me of Mattie Guthrie's in downtown Springfield (which closed after a 90 year run). I wish K's were in Springfield because I'd get to go there more often.
MoreI was invited to K's by a client for lunch a couple of weeks ago after asking about local favorites. The place has a mid 1900s family establishment feel to it and was brimming with patrons. Their chocolate shakes were fantastic and their onion rings were some of the best I've ever had. They fry the burger patties in grease, so keep that in mind if you're on a diet. Needless to say, the burgers were fantastic. If you prefer larger portions, then make it a double or triple. A double bacon cheeseburger with onion rings and a shake will run about $10.
MoreDue to covid we could only get takeout so we missed the experience of eating in the classic diner. But the order taker was super friendly, and the order didn't take long to be ready. The hamburgers were really excellent diner style, tender and lots of flavor. The onion rings were also great, and crinkle cut fries are great. Besides the burgers, the other stand out was the peanut butter milkshake. Sooo much real peanut butter flavor, super tasty. Can't wait to go back whenever dining in is safe again.
MoreVery disappointing cheeseburger when that is a specialty of the house and what they are known for for many years. Paper thin Patty served on on a cold bun. Yuk
MoreI like this venue very much. there is a special atmosphere. The meals are wonderful. the service is dynamic and the team is well trained. The price is satisfactory. very much recommend.
MoreBest place to eat.If you want a 100% beef hamburger. This is the place to go. Go to fast food takeca bite. Then go to K'S and you will taste the difference. Everyone smiles and are so polite. Then there is the milkshakes. The best around. Pies homemade. Soups homemade. Everything made with love.
MoreExcellent burgers and friendly service.
Local favorite that uses fresh beef that give the burgers a light grainy texture that falls apart while eating. I'm still sold on Lima having the best burgers in Ohio.
MoreAlways a great burger and malt. Tonight was no different. Love the new owner and how he takes so much pride in what he does.
MoreVery good burgers. Next time I'll go with the double. 😃. Chocolate shake was very yummy
MoreBeen great for the 60 plus years I've been going there. Wouldn't change anything. The original frosties.
MoreGreat classic burger joint. Has everything you would only expect to see in diner in the movies.
MoreThis is a very charming small town diner that serves everything from fried or grilled pork tenderloin sandwiches and double stacked burgers to egg salad and jello fruit topped cake, pies and hand made shakes and malts. The dining area is very nostalgic with classic decor and relics from the past. Its overall a clean and very welcoming place. Besides the gnats swarming in the small ladies room and a few dusty spots here and there its a pretty nice, warm and welcoming experience.
MoreAwesome place, highly reccomend!
Breakfast was good and the people there very nice
A step back to the good old days. The food is fresh and simply delicious. The shakes and malts are definitely worth the trip.
MoreNice little place. Nothing fancy but a good burger. Prices are great. Stale dried out buns kinda sucked though
MoreGreat food, nicely setup for Covid. Will go back!
The hamburgers here are the best. I know it, Troy knows it, and the American people know it. :)
MoreWe had high hopes for this place as it seems to be popular and received decent reviews. The inside is filthy, the food is bland and dry. We watched an employee cough over the food. Money was exchanged over food. We were there with family and tried a variety of the lunch/dinner menu. The burger buns are so dry and stale, the cheeseburger was tasteless, malts were runny. We also waited for over an hour for our food and they weren’t very busy. So disappointed and grossed out by how dirty it was in there. McDonald’s makes a better burger than this place. If you want a good burger in this town, do yourself a favor and go to Culver’s. You couldn’t pay me to come back here.
MoreK’ is a great place to eat at and enjoy some 1950’s great service with a friendly smile. The gold here are helpful and the place though old is kept in like new condition. This place has been open since 1935.To avoid my wife feeling like I am not ignoring her I will set down this phone and enjoy our time away from our business of Pink Power Cleaning. You can also follow us on YouTube at Caleb Pierce Fun.
MoreCash only - I was visiting from out of state and was really surprised with this true gem of a burger place. My burger and fries were cheap and tasted great - incredible value. I'll definitely be back!
MoreAn Old Fashion Hamburger joint... it is a must for any foodie. It's been around since 1935. Took my boys for the first time and they loved it. My 4 year old finished his whole cheeseburger!
MoreK's is superb. Rhonda and I stopped there for a burger and fries. Service is outstanding. Just what you should expect in a burger shop. Price .. two meals under $20.00. Just fine by me..
MoreWe like their egg salad sandwiches, jello, pickled beets and eggs! Yummy.... Wish they would give free refills on iced-tea. 🙁
MoreThis place was very clean and kept the vintage experience. It seemed as though they held to their values and it was not just another remake place. The food tasted great and came out quick too! Nice people
MoreMy first time trying a typical american burger and it couldn't have been better. It was absolutely delicious and I loved the old-fashioned style of the restaurant. The staff is rather slow but I guess that's a part of the experience. No cards accepted but there's a cash maschine inside the shop. Recommended!
MoreIf you’re looking for a good hamburger and fries, K’s is the place. Located in the heart of Troy , Ohio, K’s is small town America dining at it’s finest. If you go, take some cash cause they don’t take credit card.
MoreThis place will take you way back in time to the good old days. Friendly people and good food.
MoreSeriously, if you're looking for a place with history, kitchyness, old fashioned burgers, fries, shakes, and pie, you'll be right at home here. But, don't bring your credit card. Cash only rules the day, however they do have an ATM machine. The prices are great, too. Place your order at the counter and wait for them to call your name. This place is a landmark. You won't regret it. Oh, and did I mention all day breakfast, as well? Get in here!
